Executive Director, Amnesty International India Bangalore, Delhi Permanent 
With the
  leadership of our current Executive Director Ananth Guruswamy, Amnesty
  International has spent the last couple of years rebuilding its ground
  presence in India.   
During this
  time Amnesty International, India have achieved impressive developments on
  the substantive human rights issues, built a wide network of human rights
  friendly schools, recruited 100,000 Indian members and about 2 million
  activists and supported a wide range of local human rights defenders and
  organizations. We have no doubt that Amnesty International will play an
  increasingly important role in establishing a rights respecting society not
  just in India but across South Asia and globally in the coming years. 
Our current
  Executive Director completes his term in June 2015 and so the organization is
  seeking a leader with a strong record of standing up for justice and human
  rights in India.  The incoming Executive Director will lead the
  organisation in continuing to achieve concrete improvements in human rights
  for individuals and communities in India.

Passionate
  about building the public constituency in India for human rights the ideal
  candidate will have the gravitas, profile, and credibility to lead and
  inspire not just the staff and members but the wider public in India.
