Position: Communication Intern, Nairobi

Duration: 3 Months    

Start date: To start as soon as possible

Time: Full time 

Tasks and responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the company communications strategy while collaborating with the marketing team on new ideas, directions and tools in marketing & communications;
• Media relations- support the media activities of the company including monitoring and evaluation of the marketing strategy on the media;
• Work with marketing team to publish timely company information such as memos and company directives;
• Publish videos and photography on the company’s website and blogs;
• Create, manage and continuously update the Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn accounts among other social networks for the company;
• Support in graphic work for the web materials;
• Prepare reports and maintain regular contact with the supervisor.
• Perform any other duties as required during the time of the assignment.

 Qualifications and Experience

The intern should have demonstrated experience of communications, journalism, content management, social networking and partnership development;

• Must have a degree in any of the following- Communication and Media, Journalism, Web Graphic Design.
• Must be a good writer.
• Must be familiar with social media and policies as regards the same
• Demonstrate skills and expertise in Planning, Teamwork, Illustration Tools, Multimedia Content Development & Graphic Design, Understanding Browser Capabilities, Internet Presence and Verbal Communication.

Requirements

Proof of medical coverage must be provided for the file before the internship commences.
